 *NAMACHIVAAYAM*🌙

**Manemane Panchakshari Observance**

During the session, *Abhyasi 1 shared the following reflections:

1. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone for attending and to Master for providing the opportunity to host the Manemane Panchakshari.

2. She mentioned that earlier she faced many disturbances, which have now considerably reduced.

3. After joining *Chivality*, she has learned how to interact with others, perceive situations, and handle them with balance.

4. She now understands how negativity affects perception and life.

5. By cultivating *non-reactivity*, one can reduce *karmaphala*.

6. She feels that joining *Chivality* at an early age helps one lead a more positive life

7. On the *mukti maarga*, one should learn to forget the past

8. She observed that her desires have reduced significantly, though traces of them still remain.

*Abhyasi 2*

1. One should follow satya sandhate (honesty). One should give real reasons in case they are absent to chivasangh.

2. Donations, bus amounts, and tiffin contributions should be offered on time, without the need for reminders or follow-ups.

Notes 28 Oct

 1)       The journey to the Living Dead condition begins through constant remembrance of the Master

2)      From “Remembering the Master” condition one should evolve to the state of “Forget to remember”.

3)      One should have positive thinking. It helps to reduce the negativity. Even when deceived , one should not retaliate.

4)      When Master is firmly established within,  the mind attains nischala sthithi.

5)      The nischala sthithi marks the beginning of becoming chivam.

6)      The nischala sthithi gives way to become chivam.

7)      Master’s presence helps in the Abhyasis transformation. Without Master’s presence, the Abhyasis transformation might slow down.

8)      A person with Jivan mukta condition will spread the peace automatically

9)      Animals have less or almost no feelings unlike humans.

Notes 26 Oct

Please find below the insights from the speech give by Abhyasi.

1) There are two types of moralities - Spiritual morality and societal morality

Spiritual  morality is based on truth and dharma. Just as a  directional compass  always points to north, similarly Spiritual person will always tend towards following dharma.

Actions of Spiritual persons are  guided by inner purity. All the positive things done by spiritual persons arises naturally, not from any external rules or force. This is like how flowers blossom effortlessly when the  time is right.

Ramana maharshi used to feed animals which is a natural action and not by any motive to do such actions based on code of conduct laiddown  by society .

Abhyasi Sripriya gave two examples of positive actions which Master observed in his life.

1) Master was travelling and on the way he had food in a hotel along with others. After having food, they boarded the bus to continue the journey. During the journey one person remembered that he had taken extra amount as a change from the hotel .  He immediately got off the bus and travelled back to return the change.

This action was trigerred naturally , guided by the purity of the person.

The person didn't think of how much time/money is lost for this act.

Such acts are rare in the present world.

2) In an another incident, Master was having food at a hotel. A person forcefully took the food which Master was eating.

Generally if such incidents happen, the staff or people around will abuse and ensure that the person is not around that place.

But Master instead of reacting or reprimanding, lovingly offered more food to that person.

Such responses flow from  mental purity.

In societal morality there are rules/regulations/code of conduct. The right and wrong in the society is decided based on whether one follows these rules or not. This varies between cultures and is not common.

Please find below the insights from the discourse given by Master:

1)  In spirituality one has to travel towards purity.

2) Materalistic people will give more attention to the Materialistic needs.

3) Spiritual  people will give less attention to the Materialistic needs. This shows that they are trying to get away from the bondages/bandhana.

4) One should do self introspection and see if they are travelling towards purity or impurity.

5) Astral world is pure world because there is no matter in it. The materalistic world is impure because the mind is attached to the matter and there are thoughts about the materalistic world.

6) If there is purity in human beings, their thinking and working patterns will be different.

7) Ex- Let us say during commuting an auto is standing in the middle of the road. Then one should move aside and continue . But generally people comment that why is the auto  standing in the middle of the road.

8) Negativity in a person triggers to do negative actions. Say if someone slaps , the tendency to slap other comes immediately.

9) Like how negative actions are triggered, positivity in a person triggers positive actions.

10) Positivity will give strength to bear the losses.

11) The dharma says one should not give suffering to others, even when one is suffering.

12) If an ambulance passes by, some people will pray that let the patient in the ambulance recover soon. This is a positive thinking.

13) In olden days, Masters used to test purity of students before admitting them to gurukula. They used to test only for the students who are interested to get Mukti.

14)  Master spoke about tests to know the impurity of persons . They are given below.

a)  Ask a person to mop the floor once. Ask him to mop second time. Again ask him to mop. If there is no irritation in a person how many times ever you tell him to mop, it means that there is surrender and  no impurities in that person.

b) Suppose a Guru asks his disciple to fetch water from a bucket having no bottom. Logically one cannot fetch water from such a bucket. If disciple says there is no point in fetching a water, it means that there is an impurity.  The work can be done whether one can fetch the water or not.

c) Master cited about buddhist Milerapa and said that Milerapa underwent many  tests given by his Guru.

15) The qualities of purity are tolerance,  patience and perseverance.

16) The relationship between student and disciple is because of education. The relationship between sales person and customer is because of the products or services.

Similarly the relationship between a Master and a disciple is because of the purity.

17) Master shared incidents from his life about the Positive behaviour of him

a) Master on his way saw a horse which had met with an accident.  He took it to the hospital foregoing his work. The doctors treated almost till the evening and asked Master to take back the horse. To Master's surprise the owner of the horse came running and thanked Master for getting it treated.

b) Master while commuting in scooter towards Banashankari area used to call upon strangers waiting  in the bus stop to take a ride in his vehicle.

18) One has to analyse how much their behaviour is changing.

Let us say earlier one is not worried about losing Rs 5, Rs 5 or Rs 100.

Now how much ever you lose, if there is no disturbance in the mind, then there is a behaviour change.

19) The purity in a person makes him to do swadharma naturally. In fact one does not even know if he is doing swadharma or not.

20) If one wants to progress materially one must earn money, power, name and fame.

Similarly one should acquire purity if one wants to grow spiritually.

 21) In case you have taken money or articles from someone,  give it back immediately.  In that process, you may suffer also. Try to undergo the suffering.

22) One should say that I will be with the Master even Master tries  to  send  me out.

23)Anything towards Materialistic life is considered as impurity from the angle of Spirituality.

24)The tendencies  in a person makes him to buy House, car, luxuries etc. Similarly the purity in a person makes him to do positive things and will not make him to worry about losses.

25) We should move towards becoming Spiritually  positive.

26) Be in the presence of Master. It is like taking bath in a river. If you are away from Master and remember , it is like taking water in a mug and taking bath.

Notes 23 Oct

During the session, *Abhyasi 1* spoke about the following:

1. Abhyasi 1 expressed that after joining *Chivality*, her life has changed positively — she now leads a normal life with reduced anxiety, thanks to Master’s guidance.

2. Her perception and reactions have transformed. Earlier, if someone scolded her, she would hold onto it for weeks or months and avoid them. Now, she easily lets go and interacts with them normally.

3. For taking care of her children, she mentally surrenders to Master and finds that help (like getting maids) comes easily.

4. Earlier, Master emphasized being positive and peaceful. Now, she feels the focus has deepened — towards achieving *mukti*.

5. Master’s guidance is profound — unlike the general advice from parents, He provides in-depth spiritual direction.

6. Abhyasi 1 also shared highlights from Master’s *Chivasangh* speech on **15 June 2025**:

1.      When we come to *Mouna Mantapa*, we must forget the world.

2.      To prepare for death, one should not fear it — *Chivam* is connected with death.

3.      We must remain positive and unaffected by external situations.

4.      One must be able to perceive aloneness at the time of death.

5.      *Bhagavanta* is detached from everything; those who experience true aloneness at death attain *mukti*.

6.      Just as a bus seat is temporary, life’s journey too is not permanent.

7.      We are here only to spend time in this world.

8.      Today’s world is becoming increasingly negative — one should develop *mumukshatva* (desire for liberation), consider this as the last *janma*, and prepare for a peaceful death.

*Abhyasi 2 shared the following.

        1. Abhyasi 2 feels that the four sittings per day has helped to built continuity in sadhana.

        2. His remembrance of Master has deepened — he chants *Nama Chivaaya* even while travelling, walking, or being with his children.

        3. He feels deep reverence for Master for His guidance and concern for others.

       4. According to Abhyasi 2, one should simply focus on sincere practice — remembrance, chanting, and silentation — and positive transformation will happen naturally.

        5. He has been completely **vegetarian for the past four months**.

        6. Abhyasi 2 mentioned that even his children are getting influenced by Master’s teachings — when he reprimands his son , he later tells him to forget the past, thus nurturing transformation at home.

 NAMACHIVAAYAM 🌙

Abhyasi  spoke about following.

1. *A friend in need is a friend indeed.* You can see **Master as your true friend** — call Him affectionately like *Balanna* or *Balappa*.

2. Whenever a problem arises, **just remember the Master**.

3. You remember the Master **because you love Him without expectations**. This unconditional love will allow Master’s energy to flow through us.

4. The energy gives stillness in the mind removing fear, anxieties and worries.

5. The hindi song *"Yeh Dosti hum nahin todenge"* — symbolizes the unbreakable bond between you and the Master.

Master then delivered a discourse, offering insights into the following:

1) As long as you are in mouna mantapa, try to remain  in silence and speak with low voice.

2) Spiritual practice is to free you from  materialistic life.

3) The progress in spirituality can be measured by how much you are freed from bondages.

4) Learn to **perceive everything as nothing** — detachment is key

5)  The body should be used for only spiritual practice.

6) Be **serious and sincere** in spirituality.

7) Interest in materialistic life should gradually reduce. Just as a rehabilitation centre helps a person lose interest in alcohol, spirituality helps one lose attachment to the material world.

8) If you are able to experience that you do not want even peace, it means that you have achieved mukti.

9) Never harm anyone. Even if others do bad , you should not retaliate.

10)  The only requirement for Mukti is your Mental Purity.

11) Spiritual discipline- I will not do any bad deeds (Self discipline)

Institution discipline- I will follow all the instructions of the institution.

12) Even arguments are considered as "Paapa karma (sinful acts)"

13) Even if you are in the streets, you will not be affected if you have purity. The purity will give protection. Protection means the sorrow of being in the street will not be there in the mind.

14)  In spirituality, **changing one’s name** symbolizes forgetting **past traits** and beginning a new life (Dwijanma). One has to forget the past after practicing spirituality. (Ex:- Names like Atmananda. Brahmananda etc are given after entering into spiritual practice ).

15) One cannot enter into spiritual practice without viveka.

16) If you truly have a perception that I have nothing to do in this world, it means that you have attained Mukti.

17) Your interest towards materialistic life should gradually reduce while practicing spirituality.

18) If you are affected by what is happening in this materialistic world, it means that there are impurities in you.

19) Highest positive quality is Tolerance

20) One has to come to Master to dissolve the mind.

21) Helping others is a duty of every human being.

22) On sundays you are spiritual. Remaining 6 days, you must strive to be  materialistically spiritual person.

23) The punya karmas are created to encourage bad people to do good things.

24) Positive persons will not worry about losing materialistic benefits/things.

25) Spirituality grants freedom.

26) We need body and mind to enjoy things. But after death, without body ,  mind can’t enjoy . There will be suffering . This is called as "Naraka".

27) Our only goal should be to attain attain Mukti.  All the activities should be supporting to this goal.

Notes 11 Oct

 1. The mind, including the intellect, is called **Consciousness**.

2. The **intellect** is compelled to think by the **mind**.

3. One must attain a state of **innocence**, like that of a two-year-old child.

4. Whatever we hold within the **mind** must be removed. We live and find pleasure in the material world because of these mental possessions.

5. One should have **jignasa** (spiritual curiosity) and constantly inquire: *What should I do? Why should I do it? When should I do it?* — in order to become **Shivam** (“Athaato Brahma Jignasa”).

6. One should try to **work without thoughts**.

7. **No thoughts** indicate a **pure mind**. Beneath the impure mind lies the pure mind.

8. During **silentation**, one should first attain **thoughtlessness**, and then **darkness** — within which **bliss** arises.

9. When one has **positivity**, the **Master’s energy** becomes more powerful.

10. **Shiva’s energy** destroys **matter**.

11. One should strive to reach the state of **no experience** — where staying in a five-star hotel or a jail feels the same, as the mind remains unaffected.

12. The **brain** functions independently when the **mind** is pure. If the mind is impure, it controls and utilizes the brain.

13. Try to remain in **silence** as much as possible.

14. Through **practice**, one must gradually **eliminate desires**.

15. The **intellect** gathers information; the **mind** experiences it.

16. The **time of death** cannot be known.

17. When one is **freed from everything**, one naturally grants **freedom to all**. For such a person, things happen effortlessly.

18. The **Master’s purity** is transferred to reduce **negativity**. Ultimately, the Master’s purity and the Abhyasi’s purity are **one and the same**.

19. **Surrendering to the Self** is not possible directly. One must first **surrender to the Master**, and through that, ultimately **surrender to the Self**.
